Anet...please make elites avail for factions owners
Im sure this has been mentioned before in complaint threads. I am makin this thread to try to get the attention of Anet to show them how mad i am (and hopefully others are also) at the situation with elites in Cantha. If enough ppl respond maybe it will get changed.
Anet advertised that there would be no favoritism to owners of both factions and prophecies or just factions alone. They lied. I cannot play with almost half of the elite skills for any of the 6 original classes, because for some reason they cannot be capped in Cantha, some of which are the most popular and useful elites for that class.
Monk (10/25 unusable): Amnity, Aura of Faith, Healing Hands, Life Barrier, Mark of Protection, Peace and Harmony, Restore Condition, Shield of Deflection, Shield of Judgement, Unyielding Aura
Necro (11/25): Aura of the Lich, Feast of Corruption, Grenth's Balance, Life Transfer, Offering of Blood, Order of the Vampire, Soul Leech, Spiteful Spirit, Virulence, Well of Power, Wither
Ele (11/25): Ether Prodigy, Ether Renewal, Glimmering Mark, Glyph of Energy, Glyph of Renewal, Mind Burn, Mind Shock, Mist Form, Thunderclap, Ward Against Harm, Water Trident
Mesmer (10/25): Crippling Anguish, Fevered Dreams, Illusionary Weaponry, Ineptidude, Keystone Signet, Mantra of Recall, Migraine, Panic, Power Block, Signet of Midnight
Ranger (11/25): Crippling Shot, Ferocious Strike, Greater Conflagration, Incendiary Arrows, Marksman's Wager, Melandru's Arrows, Melandru's Resiliance, Oath Shot, Practiced Stance, Poison Arrow, Punishing Shot
Warrior (10/25): Backbreaker, Bull's Charge, Defy Pain, Dwarven Battle Stance, Earth Shaker, Eviserate, Flourish, Gladiator's Defense, "Victory is Mine", Warrior's Endurace
I understand that Anet needs to make money since they do not have a monthly charge, but the way to do that is not to downright lie to its customers. I do not want to have to shell out a second 50 bucks for content i was promised with the original 50. NTM, once i am forced to pay double for the same content, i will also have to play all the way through both the prophecies and factions campaigns with EACH character just for a few elite skills that i will want to use. Honestly, Anet cannot keep the rewards even for pvpers and not for pve-ers.

They didn't lie to you. Each chapter has its own set of skills, (mostly) different from the other chapters. You shouldn't get another chapter's elites, just as they shouldn't get your chapter's. Buying more chapters allows you more options in building your character, but you don't need more than one.

You make a mistake here - they didnt say everything would be available to factions owners, just that they wouldnt be at a serious dis advantage.
I can think of enough builds that dont use any of those skills, so use one of those - or, better yet, use Assasin or Ritualist elites!
Your post seriosly sounds like:
"I only have factions but I dont want to buy prophecies so make everyting in prophecies available to factions owners as well! Then you only need to buy factions!"
They need to keep some things unique to propheices, or everyone who bought it will become rather annoyed, to say the least.

Why do you expect to gain part of a product you have not bought, i do not understand your logic in any shape or form,
Its good to go back to Tyria for bits and peices like that anyway, and it would make Proph completly Redundant if they made skills available to all, its one of the only things peoplego back there for. There are core skills simply because of this. skills that are in all campains,
If you want the skills buy the product in which you can get them.
Makes good sense to me.

I paid 50 bucks (well actually $120 bux since I have a CE coming over as well) for Factions, I do think that is quite a rip, however I *do* like some of the new skills in Factions. If Factions elites are made available to lowlifes for free than I truly feel suckered.

Yes, you have an advantage when owning both. As simple as that.
With Factions only, you can still build a decent skillbar. But you are certainly limited in your choices, which will hit hardest when you want to pvp.

I don't remember Anet promising the same elite skills in Prophecies being offered to Factions-only players. The only thing I remember was that they promised there wouldn't be a serious disadvantage to those players (already stated above). Your request is unreasonable. The only reason anyone would think it is unfair is because they cannot follow most of the FotM builds with the exact same skills. Your request would only make it unfair to those who have shelled out an extra $50 for a new game with a new story and new content.

You've posted pretty much all the "Prophecies Only" Elite skills. If they added those in Cantha, they'd have to add all Canthan Elites in the Prophecies campaign as well.

Core = Prophecies + Factions
All skills you listed except FEROCIOUS STRIKE (Caps and Bold because no one seems to care it's not available in Cantha but should be) are prophecies only skills.

There are core skills which are available to both.
Why should Prophesies elites be available in Factions?
Why should Factions elites be available in Prophesies?
There should be skills that are only available in one or the other!

For PvE, the elites you can't get in Cantha shouldn't cause any disadvantage,you just have to get a skill set that works with the skills you've got. (Just like everyone does even before they get all of the skills availiable to them!)
For PvP, I'd imagine it's the same. But the question I have is "Can Elites capturable only in Prophecies be unlocked with Balthazar's faction points on a Factions only account?" If the answer is "yes" then there's no issue in that department.

Each campaign contains their own individual elites + Core skills. Period.
